Retainer

Orthodontic retainers are custom-made appliance, made usually of wires or clear plastic, to keep teeth in position after surgery or after dental braces are removed. When braces are removed, the teeth have a tendency to want to return back to their original positions. Thus it is crucial to wear your retainers as often as your orthodontist tells you.
